Bosnian side Sloga Doboj has announced the signing of Ghana forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom during the winter transfer window to bolster their squad.

The 31-year-old becomes the most high-profile addition to the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina this season, as the club looks to strengthen its ranks for the challenges ahead.

Boakye, who signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with the club, joined his new teammates and completed his first training session yesterday.

His arrival adds much-needed firepower to coach Nedim Jusufbegović’s squad as they aim to make a strong impression in the spring half of the season.

“I want to focus on this club and its goals. I’m here for my team,” Boakye stated during his unveiling, signalling his commitment to the club’s ambitions.

Boakye’s most recent stint was with Malaysia’s Selangor FC, where his contract expired on January 1.

Sloga Doboj capitalized on this opportunity to bring him in on a free transfer.

Club president Miroslav Kršić warmly welcomed the experienced forward, expressing optimism about his impact on the team.

With Boakye’s impressive pedigree, including past stints with clubs like Red Star Belgrade and Atalanta, Sloga hopes his arrival will provide the attacking spark needed to compete at the highest level of the Bosnian Premier League.
