Southampton manager Ivan Juric has expressed satisfaction with the performance of Kamaldeen Sulemana in the Premier League defeat at Manchester United.

The Ghana international was the Saints’ brightest spot during their late collapse at Old Trafford, causing troubles for the defence of the Red Devils with his pace and trickery.

Sulemana was denied his first Premier League goal of the season by the quick reflex of United goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Having battled with injuries and lack of form for almost 18 months, Sulemana seems to have rediscovered the form that convinced Southampton to make him their record signing.

“Since I arrived here, he’s working well. I think he had quality. I don’t know why in these two years he didn’t express himself. Now he has to just continue playing like this, he’s really good,” said Juric after the game.

Sulemana scored and assisted in the FA Cup third round victory over Swansea at the weekend and will be hoping to start for the St Mary’s outfit when they travel to the City Grounds to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
