Black Galaxies head coach, Mas Ud Didi Dramani beleives football in Ghana is currently in a transition period hence the recent struggles.
His remarks follow after his side failed to secure qualification for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
After being held to a goalless scoreline at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the playoff, the Black Galaxies suffered a 3-1 defeat in the return leg at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
That negative feat makes it a double agony for the West African country who will also be absent at the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
After his side failed to qualify for the tournament, Didi Dramani said, “I think every team or country sometimes goes through a transition phase and I think we are currently in a transitional phase and these are lessons learnt in very good fate.
“Sometimes we don’t like failure but sometimes failures give the right moment to reflect and bounce back back on the right waves,” added Dramani.
Ghana was looking for a repeat of what happened two years ago when they defeated Nigeria 5-2 on penalty shootouts to qualify for the last edition in Algeria.
It, however, ended as a sweet revenge for the home-based Super Eagles, who will partake in the main tournament next year to be co-hosted in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
