Former Black Stars assistant coach, George Boateng has lauded Thomas Partey, describing him as an asset for club and country.

The former Aston Villa U-23 head coach worked with Partey at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Reflecting on his working experience with the Arsenal midfielder, Boateng said, “Thomas Partey is a lovely boy who has a very good humanitarian way of living his life and he does a lot for the community in Ghana,” he told Tribal Football.

“You can talk to him, he has a very good understanding of what the society is about and he gives so much respect to the coaches and his teammates.

“As a player, Thomas has done unbelievably well, he is such a valuable asset to the club and when Arsenal is playing without him you can see that the team is different,” he added.

George Boateng left his role after Black Stars’ disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Ivory Coast where they exited at the group phase.
