
The Director-General of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, has cautioned the general public to disregard any information suggesting that the Service is currently recruiting new personnel.
She emphasized that the GNFS is not undertaking any recruitment exercise and warned Ghanaians to be vigilant against fraudulent schemes targeting job seekers.
According to the Director-General of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Chief Fire Officer(CFO) Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, a new wave of fake Fire Service recruitment scams has emerged on social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp.
In an interview with Adom News, she revealed that some suspects have already been arrested in connection with the fraudulent activity and will soon be arraigned before the court.
She also clarified that she does not operate any social media accounts, warning that impostors are using her identity to deceive the public.
She urged Ghanaians to be cautious and to report any suspicious recruitment activities to the nearest police station.
Meanwhile, she took the opportunity to educate the public on fire safety, stressing that many fire outbreaks in Ghana are caused by negligence.
She reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to intensify public education and to remain ever ready to protect lives and property.
