Black Queens midfielder, Josephine Afua Kyerewaa Bonsu, beleives the side has what it takes to achieve something great in the future. 

The German midfielder earned her first call-up ahead of the friendly game against the Atlas Lioness of Morocco.

Having trained with the side for the first time, the 25-year-old who plays for Carl Zeiss Jena Women’s team in the German Women’s Bundesliga expressed her delight.

“I’m beyond grateful for being selected to the squad… The ladies, the Queens, made it really easy on me. They took me like family,” she said.

She added, “I think we can really do a lot… I hope that I can bring my own style of playing football abroad.”

Kyerewaa Bonsu also praised the team’s energy and cohesion ahead of the game on Friday.

“I feel the energy here is crazy… Everybody is so hyped… I think with this team we can achieve something great.”

After the game against the Atlas Lioness, the Black Queens will three days later take on AS FAR Rabat.
