Experienced football administrator Wilfred Osei Kwaku ‘Palmer’ has raised concerns about the capabilities of Black Stars coach, Otto Addo.

Addo was reappointed in March 2024, replacing Irish-Ghanaian tactician Chris Hughton following the Black Stars poor showing at the AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast.

Despite AFCON 2025 qualification setback, the Ghana Football Association has maintained Otto Addo, sparking numerous concerns among Ghanaian football fanatics.

Ghana endured a torrid AFCON qualification, drawing three and losing three matches in the qualifiers. The West African powerhouse is missing the continental showpiece for the first time in over 20-years.

Speaking to Sporty FM, Osei Kwaku ‘Palmer’ emphatically stated he has no confidence in coach Otto Addo, saying he is technically inexperienced to lead the national side.

Asked if he is confident in Otto Addo, he replied, “Not at all. Technically he is inexperienced”

“We threw Kwasi Appiah out of the Black Stars on the count that he wasn’t good. If Kwasi Appiah wasn’t good and he has been able to teach Otto Addo a soccer lessons, then was it sensible taking such decision” he quizzed.

The Black Stars next competitive matches will be against Chad and Madagascar in March in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
