Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are set to present a joint statement to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for improved security measures at the various venues in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The initiative follows after the violence that erupted during the Matchday 19 game between Nsoatreman FC and Kotoko at the Nana Koromansah II Stadium in Nsoatre last weekend.

The clash led to the death of passionate fan, Francis Frimpong also known as Nana Pooley.

The matter has since been in the care of the Ghana Police with at least five arrest made in connection to the incident.

While other measures are also being employed, both Kotoko and Hearts have also decided to call on the Ghana FA for increased attention.

This comes after a meeting between the management of the two teams.
