Former Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer has said the current administration has badly damaged him.
The renowned football administrator’s club Tema Youth FC currently compete in the third division of Ghanaian football.
This comes after the club was ordered to pay €150,000 by the Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS) for a failure to compensate Young Red Bulls following the transfer of Joseph Paintsil to Belgian club KRC Genk.
Reflecting on the experience, Osei Kweku Palmer said, “Sometimes I wonder why people say Black Stars are suffering but the truth is that you cannot treat people like this and expect that the senior national team will prosper,” he told Asempa FM.
“The team has no blessings. This is the national team that I have served and helped and this how I am being treated like this?
“I am sorry but I am pained. I have been badly damaged due to how GFA has treated me and I do not know how I can be compensated,” he added.
