A dramatic incident unfolded in Manso Watreso, Amansie South district, Ashanti Region, on January 13, 2025. Two suspected armed robbers were lynched by a mob, while two others escaped with stolen goods.
According to Assemblyman Kofi Mensah, the suspects attacked community mining workers returning home from sites. The victims, however, managed to overpower two of the robbers, who were riding on a motorcycle that fell during the attack.
The escaped robbers made off with approximately 30 pounds of gold, car keys, and GH¢11,000 in cash. The bodies of the deceased robbers have been sent to the Manso Agroyesum hospital morgue for further action.
