Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Baah found the net for Watford, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 3-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers in their Championship clash on Wednesday.
QPR started strong, with Michael Frey opening the scoring in the 5th minute, slotting home from close range after a set-piece assist from Kieran Morgan. Jimmy Dunne doubled the lead in the 37th minute, heading in from an Ilias Chair cross to put the hosts firmly in control.
Baah pulled one back for Watford in the 55th minute, unleashing a right-footed shot into the bottom corner after a clever setup from Giorgi Chakvetadze. It was a moment of brilliance from the Ghanaian, showcasing his composure and finishing ability.
However, QPR restored their two-goal cushion just a minute later, as Sam Field nodded in Paul Smyth’s precise cross, sealing the win.
Watford, who are 8th in the league, will aim to bounce back when they face Sheffield United on January 4th. Meanwhile, QPR will play Luton on January 6th.
