Black Galaxies are ramping up preparations for Sunday’s crucial 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Nigeria.

Preparations have intensified, with the squad set to train at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday after initial sessions at the University of Ghana.

The Galaxies recently secured a morale-boosting 2-0 win against Togo in a friendly in Lome, reflecting their readiness for the showdown.

Training began weeks ago at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, with a 32-man squad undergoing rigorous drills.

The first leg of the two-legged qualifier will be hosted by Ghana in Accra, with the return fixture slated for Saturday, December 28, in Nigeria.

Having defeated Nigeria in the qualifiers for the 2023 CHAN tournament, coach Didi Dramani’s side are looking to replicate that success to secure a spot in the 2025 CHAN competition, which will be co-hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
