
Aduana Stars tactician Yaw Acheampong has opened up about his outfit early struggle in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The fire boys, who are two-time champions of the Ghanaian top-flight has struggled to find their rhythm in the ongoing campaign. They are without a win after five matches, losing two and drawing three across the period.
The Dormaa-based held Hearts of Oak to a pulsating goalless draw game at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium last Friday.
And speaking after game, the former Elmina Sharks gaffer vowed to turn things around after failing to glitter in their first five games of the season.
“We are working tirelessly to turn things around” he said after the game.
According to Acheampong, most of his players are very young and are new to the Ghana Premier League, stating it will take time for his side to settle.
“We are playing with young players and I think it will take time because we have players who have not even tasted the Premier League and also play under floodlight. We’ve played five games and the gap is not too big, so we still have to push” he added.
With three points, the fire boys find themselves in the 16th position and must uplift their performance to turn things around if they are to stay competitive this season.
Aduana Stars will welcome Dreams FC to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in matchday six of the Ghana Premier League campaign.
