The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested the Assembly Member for Tarkwa Bremang Electoral Area, Isaac Duki, popularly known as Agoogi, for his alleged involvement in illegal mining activities and the unauthorized diversion of a public road onto his private land.
The arrest took place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Dortaso, near Tarkwa Bremang. It followed a formal complaint lodged at the Bawdie Police Station on July 14, 2025, indicating that the assembly member had unlawfully rerouted the community’s main access road and was actively engaging in illegal mining operations on the diverted stretch.
Isaac Duki is currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
