Kofi Adams, the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, believes that success as the Minister of Sports and Recreation depends on approaching the role with sincerity and integrity.

Adams, who has been nominated as the new Sports Minister, emphasized the importance of a genuine commitment to the position.

Speaking ahead of his nomination, the 49-year-old lawmaker, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a specialization in the Epidemiology of Parasitic Diseases, stressed the need for sincerity in the role.

“If you approach the Sports Ministry with sincerity and a pure heart, you will succeed,” Adams shared during an interview on GHOne TV.

He also called for a renewed focus on grassroots sports, urging the need to implement such initiatives effectively.

“Let’s return to grassroots sports and implement them effectively,” he added.

Adams is expected to appear before the Parliamentary Vetting Committee for approval. If confirmed, he will succeed Mustafa Ussif, who served as the Sports Minister under President Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration since 2021.
