National Sports Authority (NSA) Board Chairman Seth Panwum says the Accra Sports Stadium and Cape Coast Stadium are fully prepared to host international matches, pending final inspection by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Panwum urged Ghanaians to ignore recent reports suggesting that the Black Stars will play their upcoming home match against Sudan in Togo or Ivory Coast.

The Baba Yara Stadium, Ghana’s only previously approved venue, was revoked by CAF earlier this month due to poor pitch conditions.

“Please disregard reports that Ghana will be forced to play its games in Togo,” Panwum said in Parliament.

“We have written to CAF requesting an inspection of our alternative venues. All necessary improvements and requirements have been completed.”

He added, “We have invited CAF inspectors to assess the venues, and I can confidently say that once they approve, the Black Stars will play their home games in Ghana.”

Ghana is set to face Sudan on October 11th in a crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
