Former Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has rejected claims that Sweden legend and former Inter Milan teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic is arrogant and intimidating.
According to Muntari, the former Manchester United player oozed confidence and believed in his abilities.
Muntari played with Ibrahimovic at Inter Milan and AC Milan and won trophies together as teammates.
“As a teammate Ibrahimovic wasn’t intimidating at all. He just wants the best out of you. He won games easily for whichever team I played. I managed to play with him during his early years in Inter during his first season then we met at Milan,” he told 3 Sports.
Muntari believes Ibrahimovic could have one at least a Ballon d’Or during his career but he was denied the award because he spoke his mind.
“Ibrahimovic is the top player, he’s one of the best during his time. They didn’t want to give him the Ballon d’Or because he speaks his mind,” he said. Sometimes they don’t like to hear that but Ibrahimovic is massive,” he added.
The former Ghana international included Ibrahimovic in his top strikers of all-time.
“My best strikers of all time are [Samuel] Eto’o, Ibrahimovic and [Thierry] Henry,” he said.
