The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu,\u00a0Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa<\/a>, and the Deputy Chairman of NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia\u2019s campaign team,\u00a0Nana Akomea<\/a>, could not control their emotions on live TV while reacting to a court document indicating that the Judicial Service of Ghana had sued the government over the unlawful and unconstitutional sale of its bungalows.

Ablakwa, during a panel discussion on Metro TV\u2019s Good Morning Ghana programme on Friday, September 6, 2024, read the said document as follows: \u201cThe plaintiff is the Judicial Service of Ghana and the defendants are the Land Commission, Frims Oil Company Limited, and the Attorney General.\u201d

The host of the programme, Annie Afua Ampofo, who was surprised about the mention of the Judicial Service being the plaintiff, said, \u201cThe plaintiff is the Judicial Service of Ghana!\u201d

Ablakwa retorted, \u201cJudicial Service of Ghana, they have gone to court. That is the republic that we are in now,\u201d wearing a smile on his face.

Right after his statement, laughter broke out among the panellists and the host of the show. Annie Afua Ampofo was laughing so hard that tears were dropping from her eyes.

\u201cAnnie, I\u2019m trying to control myself. I don\u2019t want to laugh but you are making me laugh.\u201d

The second panellist on the programme,\u00a0Nana Akomea<\/a>, who appeared lost with what was happening, said, \u201cAnnie, I don\u2019t know why but it has occurred to me that this is the judicial service, which is the court.\u201d

He added, \u201cThat is why, Annie, you are (sic),\u201d as he also started laughing.

Ablakwa came in and said, \u201cThe court has gone to court,\u201d and Akomea replied, \u201cYes, yes,\u201d as they both cracked up.

The North Tongu MP added, \u201cSomebody reminded me recently that when I took Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey to court, the judicial service was hard on me. At the time, they didn\u2019t know that when they were done with Jake\u2019s bungalow, they would be coming for their bungalow.\u201d

The Judicial Service in the said document, asked the court to declare the sale of some of its properties illegal as follows:
