{"id":4100,"date":"2024-08-29T21:39:29","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T21:39:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbmediaonline.com\/?p=4100"},"modified":"2024-08-29T21:39:30","modified_gmt":"2024-08-29T21:39:30","slug":"police-detain-10-suspects-for-alleged-landguard-activities-in-east-legon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbmediaonline.com\/?p=4100","title":{"rendered":"Police detain 10 suspects for alleged landguard activities in East Legon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"402\" src=\"https:\/\/uwordpressmedia.blob.core.windows.net\/uwordpressmedia01\/2024\/08\/Arrest-Crime-734x424-1-696x402-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4101\" srcset=\"https:\/\/uwordpressmedia.blob.core.windows.net\/uwordpressmedia01\/2024\/08\/Arrest-Crime-734x424-1-696x402-1.jpg 696w, https:\/\/uwordpressmedia.blob.core.windows.net\/uwordpressmedia01\/2024\/08\/Arrest-Crime-734x424-1-696x402-1-300x173.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ten suspected landguards at Adjirigano have been apprehended by the East Legon Police in Accra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspects, named Harry Otu Hesse, Khalid Adnam, Tahiru Yakubu, Awudu Salifu, Michael Laryea, Theophilus Mensah, and Mustapha Awudu, were arrested in a Police raid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, suspects, Kwetey Aryettey, Salifu Moses, and Ibrahim Musah, were also detained following a complaint lodged by Nuumo Borketey Laweh XXXIII, the Gborbu Wulomo, who owns land allegedly targeted by the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Police report, the suspects have been intimidating clients on property sold for development in Adjirigano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They allegedly disrupted construction work, seized tools, and hindered workers hired to develop the land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 28, 2024, an intelligence-led operation by the East Legon Police led to the arrest of the suspects at Adjirigano 69.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the operation, the Police confiscated cutlasses and other materials from the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Citi News reports that, all 10 suspects are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ten suspected landguards at Adjirigano have been apprehended by the East Legon Police in Accra.
