Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has disclosed that despite his years of service with the Black Stars, he did not receive any financial compensation.
Speaking on Sporty FM, Daara addressed the controversy surrounding payments to the Management Committee members of the senior national team.
Following Ghana’s participation in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, reports confirmed that each Management Committee member received a substantial sum of $100,000.
However, Daara, who worked with the Black Stars for nearly a decade and now serves as a Senior CAF Media Officer, revealed that he was never financially rewarded for his contributions.
“When I was working with the Black Stars, I did not get anything,” he told Sporty FM.
He also urged the GFA to engage more effectively with the government to clarify the rationale behind compensating Management Committee members for their roles with the team.
