The Ghana Police Service has denied a shooting incident at the Electoral Commission (EC) in Kumasi of the Ashanti region during the βEnough is βEnough demonstration.
In a statement, the Service emphasised that there had been no shooting in the demonstration organised and led by the National Democratic Congress(NDC).
The statement added that, no police personnel had also injured a protester.
According to the Police, some demonstrators went against the agreed arrangement by forcing their way into the EC premises but were restrained.
βWe would like to take this opportunity to urge the media to be circumspect in their reportageβ, the statement admonished.
The demonstration held nation is to impress on the EC to audit the voters register ahead of the 2024 election.
