Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has disclosed the new Black Stars captaincy structure, with Jordan Ayew leading the charge.
Earlier reports in the media suggested Arsenal star Thomas Partey has declined to retain the role as deputy captain of the Black Stars, with Jordan Ayew being named the main skipper.

“It is not about individual aspirations, it is about what we want to do together, and it is about believing on the plan and believing in the vision. The coach has taken a decision to make Jordan Ayew the captain, with Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus and Alexander Djiku, serving as the first, second and third vice captains of the Black Stars. These players are aware of the structure and the order” he said.
