Former Asante Kotoko striker Stephen Manu has heaped praise on Albert Amoah following his Man of the Match performance in the Super Clash.
The 22-year-old emerged as the hero in the Super Clash last Sunday, netting deep into injury time, after a mix-up in the rear involving Hearts’ defender Kelvin Osei Asibey and goalkeeper Benjamin Asare to snatch maximum points for his outfit.
Amoah, who joined the Porcupine Warriors from Great Olympics in the summer, has made an immediate impact with seven goals from 12 games in the domestic top-flight campaign.
Speaking to Kessben FM, as followed by Ghanasoccernet.com, Manu expressed satisfaction with the performance of Amoah, saying he is a fighter.
“Albert Amoah is a fighter and a good goal scorer. He squandered numerous chances in the game but his fighting spirit was great. Kotoko’s attack will be deadly with Amoah and Kwame Poku”
“I will rate Kotoko 60%. On a good day, they can score five or six goals in a game. now, I can see the team is gelling well” he said.
Amoah will be hoping to maintain his momentum as he aim to annex the Ghana Premier League goal king award.
Presently, Nations FC forward Faisal Charwetey leads the Premier League topscorers chart with eight goals and is being trailed by Kotoko’s Albert Amoah, who has seven goals.
