Young Ghanaian trainer Desmond Offei says he is honored to be part of the newly established Black Stars technical team.
In an attempt to revitalize the national side, the Ghana FA implemented major changes to the Black Stars’ technical team for upcoming games.
Offei, the current head coach of Ghana’s U20 team, joins the Black Stars’ technical bench as an assistant coach, replacing Joseph Lauman.
He will work alongside assistants John Paintsil and Fatawu Dauda, who retained their roles under head coach Otto Addo.
“Yeah, I mean being part of the technical team of the “A” national team is a privilege. Very honored to be given the opportunity” he told Citi FM.
“I think my role is to make sure that I assist the head coach as best as I can being part of the technical team is going to be an experience for me personally”
“I feel like the setup looks really strong with a very experienced technical advisor in the name of Schaffer, so you know Winfried Shafar. I feel like the chemistry is going to be there” he said.
