Black Galaxies goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has assured Ghanaians of victory against Nigeria in the Championship for African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.

Ghana is facing Nigeria for the second time running, having edge them out penalties two years ago to secure a spot in the last edition.

The Black Galaxies will play host to their neighbors at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 22, 2024 before the reserves fixtures in Nigeria.

As part of their preparations, Ghana recently beat Togo in an international friendly game with Albert Amoah and Issah Yakubu getting the goals.

Speaking ahead of the game, Asare, who is the captain of Hearts of Oak has promised victory against their West African neighbors.

“Preparation has been good. It’s a great opportunity for us representing the Black Galaxies. I will plead with Ghanaians to come in their numbers to support us and we promise to give them victory” he said.

The Championship for African Nations (CHAN) tournament is set to be staged in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania early next year.
