
Asante Kotoko technical director Malik Jabir has shared his excitement following his outfit victory against Futures Stars in the Ghana FA Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors recently named their legend as the new technical director, replacing James Kwesi Appiah.
Jabir, a two-time CAF Champions League winner with the club, took over the role from Appiah, who is now Head of Sporting Affairs at the club.
Kotoko defeated the Division One League club 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
And speaking after the game, Jabir asserted he is happy to have started his new role on a winning note.
“I’m happy to start on a winning note. I will pray and work hard so we can maintain momentum this season. I’m currently monitoring the players so with time I can help the coach with my input”
The Porcupine Warriors will play host to the Phobians at the Baba Yara Stadium in matchday 13 of the domestic top-flight on December 14, 2024.The Ghana Premier League is currently on break due to the upcoming General Elections this weekend.
Kotoko are 7th on the Ghana Premier League standings with 18 point after 12 matches so far.
