
Anderlecht’s Francis Amuzu is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious injury on Sunday, 12 January 2025, against Club Brugge in the Belgian top-flight.
According to initial reports, Amuzu has suffered a serious concussion and he is expected to undergo further examinations today to ascertain the severity of the issue.
Multiple sources say Amuzu will be out for a longer period.
Anderlecht look depleted with several players; Jan Vertonghen, Moussa N’Diaye, Majeed Ashimeru and Mario Stroeykens, in the treatment room.
The 25-year-old was named in the starting line-up and withdrawn at the interval as Anderlecht lost 3-0 at home.
Amuzu has managed 17 league appearances and scored two goals.
