Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has praised new Ghana captain Jordan Ayew for leading the team to back-to-back wins in the World Cup qualifiers in March.
Ayew played an inspiring role to help the Black Stars bounce from a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations qualifying run to climbing top of Group I of the World Cup qualifiers.
The Leicester City star scored a goal and delivered four assists in the games against Chad and Madagascar as Ghana won 5-0 and 3-0 respectively.
“He is very calm but very calm. He has strong mentality and when you play with him, you will know the king of guy he is. Now the issue of captaincy has also been sorted and you have the likes of Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan there. Straight away we are going to America, the job is done,” he said on Tv3’s Sports Station.
The Black Stars will return to action in the World Cu qualifiers in September, when the team faces Comoros and Chad in the seventh and eight games of the group.
