The Vice President and NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says the NPP government since 2017 has employed over 200,000 health professionals and built 47 hospitals, 230 health centers, and 428 CHPS compounds in the country
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was speaking at the commissioning of the newly constructed Nsuaem Government Hospital in the Tarkwa Nsuaem municipality as part of his four-day tour of the Western Region.
At the commissioning of the facility, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the NPP government’s commitment to social development, citing the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) as a testament to this goal.
He also noted that the NPP has constructed 47 hospitals, 230 health centers, and 428 CHPS compounds, among other major health initiatives, and employed over 200,000 health professionals.

Meanwhile, the Medical Superintendent of the Nsuaem Government Hospital, Beatrice Sam Omidiji has appealed for a trauma center and staff accommodation to further enhance the hospital’s capabilities.

In a related development, the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem, George Mireku Duker has commended the instrumental role of the Vice President in seeing to the completion of the facility and urged the people to vote for him come December 7.
